Blogarate.com is a free service that lets readers of your blog rate your blog posts
and displays the last 5 readers to rate your post (see the image below). The widget
also sends that information via the magic of Ajax to blogarate.com for processing.
The data collected includes blog post Url, title, author, tags and the rating. We
process the data and display it for users to find related blog posts and news items.
Blogarate.com is not just a blog post rating system, it is a distributed news aggregation
platform.
By collecting blog post details including rankings at the source Blogarate
reflects in greater detail what is making news on the web and what blog readers really see is important. Oh and it's fun too!
There are currently widgets for Wordpress, Community Server, Blogger and Dasblog
with more to come.

you just need an account).

A: Blogarate.com is a free service that let's readers of your blog rate your blog

Q: How does the rating system work?
A: Posts are given a rating of 1 to 5 by your readers. The algorithm for the rating
system is simple. If you have a blogarate account and you are logged in your score
will be worth 100% i.e. click on 5 stars and the score is 5. However if you do not
have an account or you are not logged your score will reflect 1 less star i.e if
your rating was 4 stars your score will be recorded as 3 not 4.
Q: Can I place the widget on all my blogs?
A: Yes, absolutely! We encourage you to place the widget on as many blogs as you
like.
Q: Can anyone participate?
A: Yes, absolutely! Blogarate.com is a free service open to everyone.
Q: Do I have to join blog communities to appear as a recent rater on a particular blog?
A: No, once you have a Blogarate.com account, all you have to do to appear as a recent rater on any blog is to be logged into
Blogarate.com and have voted. |
